Because The High Man covers such spectacularly historic and mythical landscape, it makes sense that there should be a tour taking in some of its many highlights. With that in mind, we have a tailor-made tour which will bring you closer to understanding and seeing what The High Man is about.

The High Man and the Mystic Landscape tour starts in Drogheda, at Millmount, burial place of the Milesian astronomer poet Amergin Bright Knee. The tour then heads for historic Mellifont Abbey and also Monasterboice, taking in the round tower and High Crosses.

From there, you will be taken to Collon, then Garrett's Fort where the sleeping army is said to be waiting, and the famous Jumping Church of Kildemock. Take in Ardee before heading to the Hill of Slane, burial place of the Fir Bolg King Sláine and the place where Saint Patrick lit the flame of Christianity in Ireland.

After lunch, head to the spectacular cairns of Loughcrew, located amidst breathtaking scenery almost 1,000 feet above sea level. The last stop on the tour, before returning to Drogheda, is the Hill of Tara, beloved ancient capital of Ireland and seat of the High Kings. Learn about the amazing solstice alignment between Millmount and Tara.
